Video Arts

Video Arts Room International Terminal

SFO Museum’s Video Arts program provides visibility to a range of contemporary artists and filmmakers who are at the leading edge of their craft. From short-form documentaries and narratives, to experimental films and all forms of animation, Video Arts brings you the thought-provoking, innovative work of today’s filmmakers.

SFO Museum’s Video Arts gallery is located pre-security on the departures level of International Terminal with daily operating hours of 8:00am to 10:00pm.

SFO Museum reviews exhibition proposals from artists and filmmakers on a rolling basis. Video Arts is currently programming four new films each month that are 10 minutes or less in duration. Due to our operation in a public space, Video Arts does not program work that features overt sexual or violent content. Those who are interested in participating may submit their work via our online form, here.

Black History Month
Join us in celebrating Black History Month at SFO - from a film that spotlights Black western heritage, to a short doc that features two iconic Black artists behind the official portraits of Barack and Michelle Obama. Two narratives, including a whimsical fantasy about a Black woman regaining her sense of self, and an experimental short that celebrates Black women by exploring themes of culture, dance, folklore, and more are also on display this month. SFO Museum’s Video Arts program is honored to share these powerful stories.
