The Graf Zeppelin model was scratch built by master model maker Edward Chavez. It was crafted with spruce stringers covered with silk, fourteen coats of clear dope, and nitrocellulose lacquer. It was originally displayed at the Nut Tree Restaurant and Airfield in Vacaville, California.
