Artist Michael Dvortcsak is an alumni of the University of California, Santa Barbara and has had a long and prolific career as a California-based painter. In the early-1980s, Dvortcsak launched a series of fictional landscapes. According to the artist, Sublimens is painted from the vantage point of an eagle in flight. Soaring high above such majestic terrain with the ability to see for miles, the image is intended to impart a sense of grandeur and freedom.
