After completing his studies at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville and York Street College of Art and Design in Belfast, Northern Ireland, Michael Stutz moved to San Francisco where he began his career as an artist. In the mid-nineties, he lived in New Orleans where he built elaborate sculptures for the Mardi Gras parades. Cardboard Kore is a recreation of a classical Greek sculpture from post-consumer paper products.
